The Role of the Church in Nunthorpe

The role includes:

Being the home for the people of the Church, worshiping God together weekly and praying daily for the Parish.

Fulfilling the legal requirements as the Parish Church of the Parish of Nunthorpe-In-Cleveland.This includes providing weddings, baptisms and funerals for residents of the Parish and for those on the electoral roll.

Providing spiritual guidance and support to all its parishioners - the Cure of Souls.

Supporting other Anglican Churches within the Deanery and Diocese.

Supporting Missions overseas.

Supporting The Missions to Seafarers.

Encouraging others to take an active part in the life and work of the parish.

Being a training parish for Curates as they progress to full time Ministry within the Church of England.

Encouraging and providing training for lay readers.
