Funerals / Cremated Remains

For pastoral assistance or for enquiries about funerals, burials and interment of ashes at St Mary's, please contact the Rev'd Tessa Stephens

Tel. 01642 285413

A funeral at St Mary's is an occasion to give thanks for the life of the person who has died, to share memories and to bid them farewell. Together we celebrate love given and received and surround the family with care and concern. We pray for strength for days ahead as we commend our loved ones to the peace of God.

Two vergers will be in attendance to assist in the smooth running of the service and with seating arrangements.

Remembering Loved Ones

Prayers are said at services in the Church and at the Hall for those who have died.
Thereafter, on each anniversary of their funeral, their name is included in the prayers.

To help those bereaved, an annual service Remembering Together is held each autumn in the Church.
