Baptism of infants, children and adults is open to anyone living in the Parish, who is on the Electoral Roll of St Mary's or who have another connection with the parish. Baptism will normally take place at a baptism service in the church, usually on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month, after the main service. Vergers will be in attendance to assist in the smooth running of the service and with seating arrangements. A few weeks before the service parents and godparents meet with the clergy to discuss the Baptism vows and traditions.
